Meet your teachers

Tuva Bjørnstad — Breathwork

Tuva is passionate about anything that helps us feel more alive and present in the lives we’re living. Whether it is through the breath, movement, or deep human connection. Her endless excitement for adventure and freedom eventually led her toward the breath. As a trained breathwork facilitator she has her focus on creating a stronger connection with the voice of the heart.

Sandra Lepp — Pilates

Sandra is a Pilates instructor who has been teaching mat Pilates since 2023. For this retreat, she brings structured, well-balanced sessions that combine strength, mobility, and recovery. Her approach blends breath-led movement with targeted core work to improve stability, posture, and overall body awareness.

Adeline Gjerlaugsen — Yoga

Adeline began her yoga journey in 2015 and is a certified yoga teacher with a 200-hour YTT in Vinyasa and Hatha from La Casa Shambala, teaching in Oslo since February 2025. Her focus is on creating a safe and inclusive practice space and hopes to share experiences where breath, movement, music, and ambiance blend together to invite a deeper sense of presence.

Bellevoire Interior

A history of

community

In 1939, students from 20 different nations came together to build Mjølfjell Ungdomsherberge as the first volunteer built hostel of its kind. Near a remote railway deep in the mountains of western Norway, it was envisioned as a place to explore nature, adventure and collaborate.

After WWII, Mjølfjell welcomed a new generation of community during an era of rejuvenation that included building its own power plant. In 1947, Peer Lorentz Dahl painted the murals in our main lodge as inspired by the life of Norwegian Arctic explorer Fridtjof Nansen.
